One hit wonders are common in the music industry. In 1969 alone, Norman Greenbaum made it big with “Spirit in the Sky” just as the animated group The Archies did with “Sugar, Sugar” yet neither were able to hit the charts ever again. That goes double for the band Five Stairsteps which released their one and only bestseller “O-o-h Child” in 1970. The very same thing happened in the very same year to blonde bombshell Kay Kimberley. That’s when the skintastic actress made her first, last and only movie. After playing an uncredited secretary on the boob tube series Mission: Impossible (1968), the busty beauty was cast in the motion picture Watermelon Man (1970). The racial satire was directed by Melvin Van Peebles (who also wrote and performed the music) and features Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons. In other words, nude-comer Kay was in good company. But even though the platinum haired honey surrounded herself with these pros, her body was without clothes! In one scene, the naked babe finds herself in bed with Godfrey Cambridge.
